Louise Lawlor
In the age of iPhone snapshots being the norm in galleries, Lawlors work takes a new imperative by inviting the viewer to fill the artists shoes, taking shots of shots of work or, in the case of the oversized pieces like "Triangle (adjusted to fit)" 2008/2009/2011, to use their cameras to zoom in on the enlarged price even further, creating a new image and manipulation the photographed space in new ways.
Lawlor's obsession with reproduction and the element of audience participation is further elaborated with "beautiful" a stake of thousands of reproduced images printed on paper, left specifically for viewers to take a piece of themselves.
